Are you in search of the perfect toiletry set for travel or cruising?
I love to stay organized but even more than that, I want to ensure that I have everything I need when I travel. This is especially true when I’m on a cruise because those missing items can be hard to find and quite expensive.
Over the years I have tried several “systems” for managing toiletries and I think I have finally cracked the code. I may have found the perfect toiletry set for travel, especially cruising.
In the past, I have filled my suitcase with these zipper pouches. One for every category. I loved zipper pouches and had one for makeup, another for toiletry and personal care items, another for day travel, electronics and so on.
I still love them for certain things like my small electronics or for my “travel day” needs (especially when they were expressive or “girly”). But, I struggled with them for toiletries. Having to dig through them or dump out makeup to get to the item I needed just didn’t work well for me.
I hit the jackpot for the perfect toiletry set for travel when I re-discovered Thirty-One Gifts.
Specifically, the Fold-up Family Organizer and the Glamour Case. What a combo! The Fold-up Family Organizer isn’t even marketed for travel but it really should be! It’s fantastic, especially for cruises when I tend to need my own shampoo, conditioner, blow dryer cream…and so much more.
Why I think the Fold-Up Family Organizer is Perfect for Travel
It’s meant to be a tri-fold and secures with snap closure, but I find that laying it flat or simply folding it in half fits best in my stuffed suitcase. All of the compartments are zipper secured so nothing gets lost.
It holds so much. Everything from cotton swabs and toothbrushes to full-size deodorant and travel size liquids and gels fit perfectly. I even had room for my handheld mirror, hair ties, and a few jewelry items.
I am considering ordering another one to hold my Cruise Cabin Prep Kit items.

The Glamour Case
The second component of my new perfect toiletry set for travel is the Glamour Case. Variety is not the spice of life when it comes to my make-up routine. I use the same makeup everyday. If I have a special dress-up occasion, I may add eye shadow but otherwise, I’m very basic. So, I didn’t really think I needed a lot of room.
The Glamour Case holds ALL of my makeup plus my moisturizer, makeup remover, full-size hairbrush and comb with room to spare. When it isn’t packed full it squishes down a little making it more compact and easy to pack.
Our daughter, on the other hand, would live at Sephora or Ulta if it were an option. She thinks that packing only 3 full-size eye pallets is cruel and unusual punishment.
On our most recent cruise, I laid down the law and told her that ALL of her make-up and personal care items had to fit in her new fold-up organizer and glamour case. She did it! There was no squishing hers down because it wasn’t full, but she was happy with the number of makeup treasures she was able to fit and take on our trip.
Things we Love about the Glamour Case

- The separate zipper pouch which was perfect for eyeliner, tweezers or other small and easy to lose items.
- My daughter really liked the straps to hold slim brushes and the cover at the end
- She also loved that she could order the two items in a matching print in colors that matched her luggage.
This new combo has traveled with me on a land vacation, a quick over-nighter and a 7 night Caribbean cruise. It’s been perfect for all of these occasions. For my quick over-nighter, I consolidated all of my needed items into the Glamour Case. Perfect!
