Favorite travel products for cruisers: Holiday Shopping Guide 2023
Let’s get started with a couple of items that keep you hands-free and your information secure.
Travel Wallet
This is my favorite travel wallet. The built-in RFID protection gives you added security, and the compact wallet is high quality. It also comes in so many colors there is one for everyone. I love how I can travel with just the cards needed and it fits perfectly in a small cross-body/fanny-pack or even in my passport holder.
Fanny Pack/Crossbody
This style is hugely popular. While I like the Lululemon one, I like this one a lot more! First of all, it’s less than half the price. Second, it has a double zipper.
The double zipper makes accessing your items easier while also making them more secure. With the single zipper, I often felt that items could fall out as I was reaching for one because the bag was angled on my chest. I have the pink one, AND the black sherpa is on my wishlist.

Cup Holder for Suitcase
If you travel a lot like I do, this can really make your travel days easier. These two pockets can hold your water bottle, coffee, phone, etc., right there for easy access. The secure drawstrings allow you to secure your belongings even as their size varies. It also folds up compactly for easy, last-minute storage. The included strap allows you to carry it over your shoulder if you’d like. Check out the luggage cup holder on Amazon.

PHOOZY Apollo Series Thermal Phone Pouch
This year, we have added this amazing phone pouch to our packing list. So many times, our phones have shut down due to heat at the beach or pool. It uses NASA spacesuit technology to reflect 90% of the heat of the sun away from your device to help prevent overheating while insulating your device in cold temperatures to extend battery life up to 3X (compared to not using a PHOOZY). I mean, it’s made spacesuit technology…pretty cool!
Vertical File Expanding Accordion Folder with 7 Pockets- for Easy Backpack Access
I travel with a backpack, and this vertical accordion folder makes accessing any important documents so easy! This may show my nerdy side (and I do love travel apps), but sometimes you want a paper backup. This is perfect for managing pre-cruise paperwork, hotel information, tour receipts – everything needed to manage my fantastic trip.
Phone case with cardholder
I think this phone case with the hidden card holder is very clever. I’ve used others in the past that have had adhesive card holders or larger ones that are similar to wallets, but I really like this sleek design, and it’s perfect for a cruise card! I currently use the Walli case (the exact one pictured), which I really like, but I think this new one will be perfect for my husband. If you like the Walli Case, be sure to use my code for a discount (JILL58875).
Apple Air Tags
Lost and delayed luggage will, unfortunately, always be an issue. Help yourself by using Apple Air Tags so that you always know the location of your bags. Check out the 4-pack bundle and share it with the family. I recommend even using them for your carry-on bags. You never know when they may need to be checked at the last minute.
Luggage – Level 8 Luggage and Away Travel Bags
Luggage is always a generous and thoughtful gift idea. I have used Away luggage for years, but the Level 8 brand is very popular and has some great options. I like the durable spinner wheels and color options and the high quality of both luggage brands.
Tommy Bahama Cover-up
While this gift is a little pricey, it is my absolute favorite cover-up. Unfortunately, it’s no longer available through Amazon but it is on the Tommy Bahama site. I wish you could feel it through the screen. It provides good coverage (not see-through); you could even wear it as a dress. The material resists wrinkles and feels a little cool to the touch. I absolutely love it, and I have it in two colors! Both will be packed for my upcoming cruise.
Travel Size Beach Safe
Who doesn’t love Shark Tank. Check out this compact and secure travel size safe for the beach or pool. It’s important to keep your valuables safe even when you are out catching some waves or rays.
Zipper Pouch: Life is Better on a Cruise
Ok, what cruise fan wouldn’t LOVE this zipper pouch? There are many to choose from, but this one is my favorite. It currently holds all of my chargers and cords. It’s high quality, the perfect size, and can hold a variety of things. There is a variety of cruise theme options to choose from, too!
My Favorite Multi-Charger
This charger does it all, and it’s so compact! I can charge my phone, my laptop, my Apple watch, and my Kindle all at the same time. It saves a ton of space when traveling, and I’ve even made a few new friends because I had a charger that worked for their device. Ok, the person usually looking for a charger is my husband, but it works! This multi-charger comes in a little resealable bag and is so easy to pack in my zipper pouch!
Bon Voyage Bag
Perfect for anyone who loves cruising, this Bon Voyage Bag would be perfect for embarkation essentials, the pool deck, or a day of sightseeing.
Philips One by Sonicare Rechargeable Toothbrush.
Can you love a toothbrush because this one is great? It’s chargeable, but the charge lasts for a month. I like the original Sonicare or even the Oral B, but this one gives you all of the electric benefits in a more compact size and with a long battery life. It comes with a charger and carrying case.
TSA Approved Container Sets
TSA-approved liquid bottles are everywhere, but finding good-quality jars, pumps, or sprayers is not easy. Products like moisturizers are often too thick to work effectively in squeeze bottles, so these jars can be really handy. You can even decant a bit of antibacterial ointment or use them to house vitamins.
Personal fan (with charger…and flashlight)
I admit, when I ordered this to review, I was skeptical. I assumed I would check it out and likely want to return it. I was VERY wrong. First, it is compact and easy to travel. Second, it works great! It is a great little fan (with multiple speeds) and can also be used as a backup charger for your phone and a flashlight. From a cruiser perspective, it covers cooling, white noise, charger, and a light you may need for those late-night bathroom trips in an inside cabin.
Not only did I keep this fan, but I have ordered it again for friends and family.
European Adapter
A great gift for someone planning a cruise to Europe, but additionally, think of this as a mini-hub. The user gains an extra outlet and two USB ports by utilizing a plug that wouldn’t be useful otherwise.
I also really like this multi-port charger because it’s super compact but still has a cord in case your outlet has limited accessibility.

E-Reader
Ok, a version of the Amazon Kindle has been on my holiday guide for years, but for good reason. If you or your gift recipient are avid readers, then a Kindle is a game-changer. These e-readers are so light and easy to use while traveling, and the battery life is fantastic. Pairing the e-reader with the Libby app (link to app post) is especially beneficial. Who wouldn’t want to request digital books delivered wirelessly to their Kindle for free? My favorite for cruise travel is the waterproof Kindle Oasis.

Lovelook backpack
This backpack has all of the features I’ve been looking for in one bag. It has a trolley sleeve, tons of pockets, and a secure side pocket that easily holds my Yeti Rambler without it falling out at the slightest bend. I love it! I’ve already added some trusted carabiners to the handle for extra items, such as a ball cap or your sun hat with this magnetic clip.
Compression Cubes
I have had my eye on this set for a while and finally made the purchase. Compression cubes have made a big difference as I’ve moved towards packing lighter. I love these because they are travel-themed, and everything related to travel makes me happy!
